I have had a A7N8X-E Deluxe installed since April of this year and it has
been a pretty good MoBo...except for a couple of issues I have been
experiencing off and on and was wandering if anyone else has had these
issues.
1. From time to time it if give me a "Failure of the Memory Test" vocal
voice message, however, all seems to be OK once it boots.
2. A more series issues occurs occasionally, when it fail to recognize the
Marvell Yukon Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000Base-t Adapter, Copper RJ-45. A
second Reboot usually allows it to recognize it OK...Just wandering if
anyone else has had these issues...CP

I had that board. Found it excellent.

But I did have false « failure » messages.
It was « overclocked », which it was not.
But the computer would keep booting
anyway.

I have not tried it, but how about disabling
the voice messages. I wonder if it would
send erronous beeps.

I have the voice turned off, so if "she" erroneously tells me my
memory check has failed (or my CPU is over clocked), I've never heard
it... or missed it either. My machine works just fine.

In the past, I have had the Yukon Gigabit port spontaneously
disappear... but it's rare. I think it may have been a conflict with
some other driver. I've upgraded the drivers to the latest ones from
the Yukon site and haven't had this occur for ages.

I have that board too and whenever I boot it says "System failure due
to CPU overclocking". Nothing to worry about. That speaking mobo thing
is cool tho, once I just had forgot to plug the CPU fan and it told me,
I wonder if I would have noticed in time without that voice thing

If you have any doubts about your memory just run Memtest86...

As for the ethernet port thing, can't help, never had any problem with
it... maybe an issue related to your installation of windows and the
driver?

OK...thanks Sam, I downloaded ver. 8.41.1.3 from the Marvell web site and
installed it...the Asus web site apparently stops at ver. 6.28....all
appears to be running OK...hopefully this will stop the issue I have been
having...
