I'm experiencing weird troubles with the onboard Ethernet controller
of an A7N8X-E deluxe mainboard (Bios rev 1013) running Windows 2000
SP4:
- using the old 3.4.6 Nvidia Ethernet driver (included on the Asus
CD), no problem.
- upgrading to any recent Nforce driver package (4.24/4.27, or 5.10),
ethernet traffic becomes unbelievely slow (5-15 KB/s), or even
impossible.
At first I suspected a problem with the latest Bios (1013) but
downgrading to 1012 raised the same problem.
Upgrading with the Nvidia drivers package 5.10 *except* the Ethernet
driver (keeping 3.4.6) also works flawlessly.
No problem at all under Linux.
Does anyone also experience this problem with the recent Nforce
drivers?
