I have just purchased a M-Audio Revolution 7.1 sound card for one of my A7N8X-Dx
machines. Since I have been running the Soundstorm onboard since I built this
computer, I am not real sure on the recommended procedure to uninstall the
onboard sound.

My plan is to go into Safe mode and uninstall the drivers from Device Mgr. then
shut down and install the card and on boot up go into the bios and disable the
Onboard AC97 Audio Controller, then reboot and install the Maudio software when
Windox installs the card.

Does this sound right or am I missing something?

1.Go to bios and disable onboard sound
2.reboot
3.Uinstall drivers for soundstorm
4.fit soundcard, install drivers for same.
Reboot
