Hmm, my emails to (E-Mail Removed) bounce back
so trying to find help here?

I have tried 2 different floppy drives and cables,
but can't get any to work. Originally the post reported no
floppy connected, so I ordered a new one, but now there
is no error reported even with floppy enabled and designated first boot
device. (?) I ensured correct alignment for pin 1 of connectors. The drive
light doesn't turn on and clicking on the device in win98SE crashes the
machine badly when the floppy is installed and connected/enabled.
Any help is appreciated..

A7N8X DLX rev.2 Bios 1006
Win98SE (from my old HP computer)
Athlon 2600+
Mitsumi and Sony floppy drives
Enermax 350 watt supply

Try putting the data cable the other way up in the floppy drive. Make
sure the floppy is enabled in the BIOS.

If the floppy cable is backwards the floppy light will probably just
stay on, it shouldn't hurt it, I've done it a few times in the past
without harming the drive or mobo.

OR you can look at the floppy drives PCB where the cable plugs in, there
may be a number "1" printed on it, line up the RED wire on the cable to
this pin.

Also the end of the cable with the twisted wires would connect to the
floppy, and should show up as the "A:" drive.
