A7N8X DL rev2 sata probs

Using Sata Si3112r controller in mirror config.
Previously run OK for +1year
Started getting event errors
'The device, \Device\Scsi\si3112r1, did not respond within the timeout
period.'
The manu hd checking utility, run over several loops, found no problems.
ChkDsk showed and corrected problems.- no bad sectors.
Certain db apps started giving 'odd' problems. - db appeared corrupt.
It seems to me that there may be a problem with the mobo sata controler.
Any thoughts?
