I have the 640GB FreeAgent Go portable drive and it is superb, they have the the short USB lead down as one of there cons but I think its a pro rather than a con as its a good foot long and easy to store in its little plastic film sheath, whereas in the past I have had bloody great 2 and 3 foot long USB leads that have done nothing but get in the way and have been a pain to fold and store.
Never needed more than a foot long cable anyway as most PC's have front or top Usb sockets and if your using a laptop a longer lead just gets in the way! Very fast drive though and simple to backup using the supplied software, just set and forget.   |
