I wand a 9800pro. What's this i've read about having to plug it into the
power supply? Is this a standard pre-wired snap and go connection or is this
a complex electrical job? TIA.

It just plugs into a standard power header like the ones that plug
into a hard disk. It is very simple.

Hehe, the instructions have you unplugging your power to harddrive and
using the supplied splitter.
The instructions had to include bare systems with few power supply
connectors, I guess.

Yes you need to go to night school for 6 months and learn all about home
electrics before you install one - or- just plug a standard power
connector in, if you are not sure which one, just look at the size of the
hole

Simple snap-on connector.

Yea, I thought that was kind of weird that they specifically tell you to
connect to the connector coming from the HD. Wonder how many people took
their instructions verbatim? I just used a free connector but you could
split it from any other connector too and not just the HD. Personally I
would split it from a fan if I had to as the HD draws more power than a fan
and a fan connector is easier to access.

Well that isn't really how it works in terms of power delivery, but it
is probably easier in most cases.
