9800 Pro Audio problem -- won't play wav or other sound files since install

Hi,
Just installed an ati 9800 card and it works wonderfully with cable. But
I have lost all my other audio. The computer in my user logon on, using Win
XP Pro will not play a wav file, midi or music cd yet under another user id
everything works, video with sound and all other sound files.

Can anyone help !!
