For all of you that have oc'ed your 9800 Pro's, what are you core/mem
speeds?

I have my Tyan 9800 Pro oc'ed to 405/364.5 (via the Rage3D utility). No
artifacts/clipping whatsoever despite running 3DMark2001 or 3DMark03
continuously for over an hour.

I've done two mods:

1. BGA ramsinks
2. Slot Card Cooler
http://www.crazypc.com/Merchant2/mer...duct_Code=5300

Without the slot card cooler i have to reduce the mem down to around 355 for
absolute stability.

When I read articles like this
http://www.ocaddiction.com/reviews/c.../zalman_zm80c/ I'm amazed that
they achieved **451** MHz core speed. Something just tells me that that's
*impossible* without liquid or freon-type cooling.

I have my Sapphire at 425/375 with no mods. I could push it higher at stock
but I'm going to wait until I change the fan and add some ramsinks

Still experimenting but getting 450/362 with stock cooling (Crucial 9800
Pro).

RAM seems to be ok up to 365 on a cool day but 362 seem fine anytime.

Tested the core up to 462 but artifacts started appearing gradually
after a couple of minutes, not tested to any great extent between 450
and 462 to get actual limit.

Guess I got a reasonably good core but only average memory. Ah well,
not going to modify just to gain a small amount a few more Mhz just yet.

450 core, eh? wow, you have a VERY good core. have you done any mods?

i sometimes wonder if i should opt for a Zalman cooler. i can run at the
core at 420 but after a few minutes i see noticeable artifacts (sparkled
dots) in 3DMark03 MotherNature. i'm just using the stock Tyan core cooler,
which is exact copy of the ATi OEM.
