I recently upgraded to xp from 98 because I wanted to set
up a wireless network. After the upgrade my dlink
wireless pc card still won't install. I went into the
device manager and noticed there are yellow ? for network
controller, multimedia cont., and multimedia video
controller. I went into the prop. and it says there is no
driver(s). Tried reinstall (on each) but it says unable
to locate. Removed each one and they keep coming back on
start up as new hardware found. As far as the network
card goes, I have the cd rom and I've tried downloading
it from the dlink web but nothing works.

Brian, sometimes you have to point XP to the drivers. From Device
Manager choose update drivers and
click Install from a list or specific location. Click Next and check
Include this location in the Search
Choose Browse and go to the exact folder containing the Xp drivers.

You may have to go to the manufacturer's website for the
drivers (or compatible drivers) for XP.
