While running check system compatibility prior to install
XP home on a system running Win 98, computer reboots.
System does not create an upgrade.txt file. Also, if I
try to Install, it will reboot during preparing
installation.

I have ran a current virus scan. Only explorer, starter
and systray task are running. Help!

Did you uninstall your antivirus program?

Yes. I unistalled McAfee with dat 4360 prior to begining
upgrade
