Price aside, would the X1 be equal to the 9700 pro for gaming?
I know the X1 is better for high end cad/3d apps (my use), but
it as useful for playing games? Is there anything that would make
it slower for that use (drivers, clock speed)?

x1 is faster for work
9700 is for games.

i am able to use my x1 for games though just not as fast as 9700.
I am a maya 5.0 user
