Hi,

iam facing a problem loading PPT 97 documents with PP T2002.
Sometimes the sequence of the shown objects randomley
changed . Some Group objects vanish even they should be
only removed on click.

Does anybody know the Problem ?

Thanks

Matthias Schneider

This is because PPT 2002 and PPT 97 handle animations much differently.

In PPT 2002, go to Tools/Options and select the options to turn off new
animations and transitions. That should allow you to play the presentation
as it was created in PPT 97.

Any other Idea. ( PPT 2002 SP3 )

Well, the "remove on next mouseclick" may need to be changed. That actually
goes back to the difference between PPT 2000 and PPT 2002. (Deactivating new
features in 2002 actually takes it back to "2000 mode.")

http://support.microsoft.com/default...22&Product=ppt
explains it a bit better. Sorry, I should have read your original post more
carefully and mentioned this the first time.

If you're just trying to show the presentation -- not actually edit it --
you might want to just use the 97 PPT Viewer and be done with it.
