Half-Life 2 won't be released until April 2004, so the video card MAY still
come with a coupon to get the game but not the actual game.
The 9600XT would be quite a bit faster than a GF2MX but you wouldn't see
much improvment in an online game like CS. A newer game like Max Payne 2
would be unplayable with a GF2MX, if you wanted to play with descent
settings (4xAA, 8xAF, etc). It would play great with most settings on high
with the 9600XT.
The 9600 Pro is almost as fast and cheaper than the XT.

Sounds good. So you would go for the 9600pro? I want a card with min. 8
pipes. What is the best deal?
The 9600Pro is 4 pipelines but its a great mid-range card (I have one). Not
sure about the 9600XT - think thats also 4 but I stand to be corrected. If
you want 8 pipelines you will need to go for the much more expensive 9800
range.
BTW. I have no issues with it but there are folk that will complain about
you posting in HTML. Better to use plain text.
