I am considering a 9600 Pro and would like to know what an "EZ Version"
means. I see this a lot in the Pricewatch listings. Thanks.

The Pro EZ is a 9600 Pro with cheap memory. It has a standard 400Mhz
Pro core chip but standard, non-pro 200Mhz (400Mhz DDR) cheap ram. Not
a good deal unless it's priced fairly close to a 9600 non-Pro and much
cheaper than the Pro.

Thanks for the quick answers. I suspected it was probably something like
that. I saw an ATi 9600Pro on sale locally for $190-$20 rebate and then
checked Pricewatch.com where I saw $135. But in that same pricerange I saw
some 9600Pro EZ's and wondered how I would know the difference when
ordering, etc.

Again, thanks for the quick responses.

The EZ versions have RAM modules that are larger and more oblong in
shape whereas the non EZ boards have smaller RAM modulus that are more
square in shape. Take care, some manufacturers while not exactly hiding the
EZ part do tend to understate it in the name of their boards.
