Hi

Just got myself a EVGA 8800GT superclocked version, it idles about 60 degrees (load around 70-80)
Is this normal/okay? and if not what would be a good after-market cooler to fit (not watercooled)

Many Thanks
IPH

Does seem a bit on the hot side, what speed is the GPU fan running at I think these default to about 30%, you could download MSI Afterburner and try upping it to 50% and see if that helps.

Its better what are the temps now under load this card can go up to 100c. You could try upping it to 65% and see how that goes.

Running a heavy game like COD or crysis.

You can run a stress testing programme like 3Dmark http://downloads.guru3d.com/3DMark06...load-1297.html
