Actually this problem has been occured with me for almost
4 months.
I bought 3 new PCs with Intel 865GBF mainboard which is
include i865G graphic onboard.
Fresh installation of WinXP Pro SP1, installing the intel
INF chipset driver (as mentioned in the mainboard manual)
then doing windows update.
After it, I had my windows installed the rest driver
included on the intel CD.
The problem is on the intel graphic onboard. After I
installed the driver ( Extreme Graphics 2 --- couples days
ago I still curious and had installed the newer driver ),
WinXP went to crash. The error message said that something
like the intel graphics driver seemed to have an infinite
loop and this causing windows to crash.
I had sent a report to the intel support, but they didn't
give any satisfying help. They even said that this problem
is not common and they had not recieved this kind of error
report but from me. WHAT HAPPEN IS A LOT OF PEOPLE AROUND
HERE EXPERIENCED THIS THING. EVEN SOME INTEL DISTRIBUTOR
IN MY CITY HAS STOP THIS I865GBF MAINBOARD DISTRIBUTION.
Anybody has a solution for it ???
cheers
yusep
