Hi!

here's a screenshot of how it looks like when that happens
http://www.geocities.com/micko_escal...00LE/index.htm

I can load windows and work in it with no problems then all of a
sudden this happens just like a tickin' bomb, when I open a app or
switch between windows,
I had this card in my other system P4 1.7 and it was workin with no
problems, and this started to happen recently,
I have direct x 9.0a and latest drivers from ati,
I also had a clean install of win 2000 on other HD and I booted from
there and the same thing happend
now I put back to my P4 system and same thing happens, so its
something with gc,

I took 2 pics from BIOS one from
Frequency voltage control
http://www.geocities.com/micko_escal...trol/index.htm
and other PC Health status
http://www.geocities.com/micko_escal...atus/index.htm

I also I also used Rage3D Tweak to underclock it and by default it was
@
Core Clock: 229.50 MHz
memory Clock: 229.50 MHz
so I set it to lowest 204.8 MHz
and still no luck

I'm sorry for such a long post but this drives me crazy, my com is now
useless, what ever I start to do when this happens I have to press
power button to reboot
any ideas?

thanx

My system specs:
Epox 8k5a2+
AMD XP 2000+
256 MB PC3200 Corsair
Maxtor 120GB HD 7200RPM
Win XP Home

Can you try another video card? If it doesn't happen with another video
card, I would be returning the 8500...

Try to disable DDS information of the monitor. It could give wrong
information to the card.

Had that exact same problem with my own LE last year. Earlier this year I
sent it back to where I bought it for an exchange; I suspected overheating
but never was sure. My replacement card has been fine so far (just past
two months now) but if it happens again, no more 8500LEs for me.
