Best bet is to get VMware or VirtualPC.

installed just for fun. I have looked on the 8500dv install CD, ATI website
and Google for a suitable driver that I could use on Win 3.11 (since there
does not apear to one specifically for the 8500dv on WfW). All I want to be
able to do is get something larger than 640X480 and 16 colors. Any thoughts
on a suitable driver?

There used to be a set of generic 256 color drivers from Microsoft for
Win3.10 that might work for you.

Search the Microsoft Download Center to see if the drivers are there,
if not I probably still have them in an archive somewhere if you'd
like to try them out.

Just use generic VGA driver.
