I am installing 802.1x on our network with wired devices.
I want to get it working on my pc before rolling it out to
5k users.

My problem is my pc is at service pack 5 and NOT 3. How do
I get 802.1x running on services pack 5? I tried to
install the installer anyway and it comes back and say you
need service pack 3 your services pack is newer....

How do I get around this issue....

If you meant to say Service Pack 4, then I'd suggest contacting the product
vendor and asking for an update/fix for the driver.

If you are running a Service Pack 5 beta, then you should be asking this on
the beta support groups; on the off-chance that someone who can answer a
question about that sees it here, their confidentiality agreement would stop
them from being able to post that answer.
