80 wire IDE cable for optical drives?

Any advantage / disadvantage with using a 40pin/80wire IDE cable over a 40/40 IDE cable (ie with the extra 40 wire shielding)? My question is regarding two optical drives on the secondary IDE channel (DVDrom and CDRW).

Yes, I do use and 40/80 with the two hdd's as per manufacturers specs.

Sorry - duplicate post. The first one said it was unsuccessful and encountered an error. Guess webmaster has some bugs to work out.
