Installed it and my 3D Mark 06 score (1280x1024) increased from 12,160 to
12,210 (Q6600@3.0G, HD3870@826/1166), which could be viewed as a random
variation.

ATi got FSAA working in all Unreal Engine 3 games. Any idea how they did it?
I hope it isn't just "dumb" supersampling AA like nVidia used to do in the
Geforce2 days.

Tried it on my X1900 / WinXP. AA now works well in UT3. Can't be SSAA - the
frame rate isn't impacted enough with the AA on for it to be SS.

Nice work Cat team!

Works in Gears of War too. However, the frame rate has not been impacted at
all. The AA is definitely on (nullifying the need for DX10/Vista AA) and
looks great, but there doesn't seem to have been any frame rate hit at all.
Very strange.

Is the speed of GoW and UT3 *without AA* still the same in Cat 8.3 as it was
in Cat 8.2?

Without actually throwing 8.2 back on to retest, I'd have to say that the
frame rates from 8.2, 8.3-noAA, and 8.3-4xAA are all pretty much the same. I
must be CPU limited. I guess my old FX-53 is finally showing its age
