I'm getting an exception saying that System.Data.OracleClient requires Oracle
client software version 8.1.7 or greater, even though I'm running Oracle 9i.
Any ideas what may be causing this?

Verify that the proper Oracle client drivers are installed on the PC where
the application is running and that the Path is pointing to the bin folder
(e.g. on my PC it is c:\oracle\ora92\bin
