all of my software is for 32 bit XP professional.
Will it run under 64 bit Vista Home Premium?

Probably not. But see for yourself. Just be sure to click the 64-bit
button on the left after a search. Otherwise it defaults to 32-bit search
results, I believe. -Dave

I've not had any issues. You'll need to update any security software
though but apart from that, there should be no issues at all.

No. For example, the Evoluent vertical mouse driver I use under 32 bit
XP Pro is unusable in 64 bit Vista. AND there is no 64 bit equivalent.

Some 32 bit applications will run under Vista X64. (I believe that most
will.) Some will not. (I had to update to Photoshop CS3. CS2 didn't run
quite right, and Adobe does not support it under Vista. Your mileage may
vary.) You'll have to check with the makers of all of your software,
individually, to determine that.

No 32 bit *drivers* will run. If you are considering moving to Vista X64,
make sure that 64 bit drivers exist for all of your hardware. Some vendors
have not bothered to produce Vista drivers for older hardware. The same
thing happened in the transition to XP from Win98.
