What line of code does the application fail on?
Does PPT itself fail when manually repeating the same operation?
IOW, first narrow down the problem. Is it the app or PPT itself?
It might be (and in fact sounds very much like) the app has allocated a
600-element array for storing template filenames and has run off the edge of
the array, fallen, and can't get up. ;-)
