Hello, Stand alone, single user, non-network unit. Intergrated Intel
10/100 lan
and Intel 56k modem card. WindowsXP Home sp1a all critical updates.
Unit connnected via 56k modem. No DSL or Cable connection.
Recently after connecting online with 56k modem I check the icon in
system tray and the icon always shows the connect speed and ISP name.
When I want to disconnect and right click on system tray icon it
informs me that the lan is not connected. There are no other
connection icons in the tray. I then use the shortcut icon on the
desktop to close the 56k modem.
This behavior started in the last two weeks and is not an everytime
occurrence.
Appreciate assistance.
Take Care.
beamish.
