56 K message modem

's Computer Specifications

I have re-installed windows2k professional on my AMD
Athlon PC due to virus problems.Earlier it was working
fine but this time the modem gets identified and installed
but does not work properly. But when I try to query the
modem it says 'port already open'.

Please help

try using the win2k drivers provided by the mfg
rather than the default win2k drivers
