Hello. I own a small business and correspond to folks in
regularly in the US, Canada and UK. I received an e-mail
a week ago from a person in France asking about our
shipping costs. Her e-mail id is (E-Mail Removed) . I
did a simply reply and the mail bounces back with
....while talking to smtp.wanadoo.fr:
>>> RCPT To:<(E-Mail Removed)>

<<< 550 <(E-Mail Removed)>User Unknown
550 5.1.1 <(E-Mail Removed)>...User Unknown

I have tried sending my response at different times of
day. I have tried not using "reply" and just typing a
new message and typing her e-mail addy. I have stripped
all extraneous footer, font selections etc out of the
mail so it is nothing but a Times Roman font and it
bounces back. I am not a techie. If I have some type of
protocol problem, where should I start looking? This gal
just e-mailed me again today--thinking I have ignored her
message. It could happen again with correspondence with
another country so I need to try figuring this problem
out. Thank you so much for your help--in advance.

Try sending a message to (E-Mail Removed) and see if it gets thru
because the error message indicates that their server doesn't recognize that
e-mail address as anyone that uses their system. At the very least you can
ask them if the e-mail address you have for "X" is valid.
