500 or 550 <filename>: The system cannot find the file specified.

trying to upload files thru ftp but get message with either the 500 or 550
leadoff. Need to know if there is setting and how to go about it.

Are you using FP's FTP mode or a 3rd Party FTP application?

Using FP ftp. We recently upgraded to the 2003 version

The error message is being generated by the remote server so you need to contact your web host.

Things to check, do you have a firewall application, if so make sure port 21 is open, check with
your host to see if passive mode is required.
