I cannot hear anything out of my rear speakers and I think I have tried everything. Any suggestions welcome

If you have "Boston BA7900" or similar, turn the "surround" volume knob up on control box. Also, I have Soundblaster Audigy II and I"ve found that when I perform PC maintenance (defrag, registry defrag, disk cleanup, etc..), my "Creative Speaker settings" revert back to 2.1/2 and I then have to put back again to 5.1. I have not been able to find the answer to that. Hope this helps.
