How do I get Windows 2000 Professional v5.0 (Build 2195:
Service pack 3) to recognize my Western Digital WD1800 hard
drive? I am using a MSI 875P Neo FIS2R motherboard with
AMIBIOS A6758IMS V1.9, November 2003. (When I installed
SUSE Linux Professional 9.0 on an identical machine, it
recognized the WD1800 immediately and set up the full
capacity of the drive.) After inatalling Windows 2000 I
added the registry value EnableBigLba per the instructions
in article 305098. After this, the drive capacity still
shows 137 GB.

Do I have to add someting PRIOR to installing the Windows
in order to get this to happen?

Did you create the partition/volume under W2k prior to enabling Big LBA?
If so, form as far as I've seen in other posts, you'll need to extend the
partition or re-setup
