I have been publishing pages of my website without any problem. All of a
sudden, the following error message appears:
425 Could not open data connection to port 5001. Connection timed out.
Would appreciate any help!

Shouldn't you be using port 21 if you are FTPing your site, instead of 5001?

Tom,

Thanks for your quick reply. However, I have no idea, what port I am
suppposed to use or how I can change it.

As mentioned, I published pages of the website before and never had any
challenges. The described error message appeared all of a sudden.

Can you guide me in the right direction please?!

Depends on how you are publishing
- FTP (a server w/o the FP SE)
See http://support.microsoft.com/default...Product=fp2003
- HTTP (a server w/ the FP SE)
See http://support.microsoft.com/default...Product=fp2003
(you do not use a folder name w/ http)
