I get this error when I connect with IE 6 SP1 after making a VPN
connection. I recently moved to ADSL from an ISDN account where I was
using a proxy server for HTTP connections in IE. I was getting this
error in IE, until I edited my LAN settings and unchecked the option
to use a proxy server. However, I'm still getting this error (like I
said previously) when I have a VPN connection open. I do NOT get this
problem with firefox. It appears that IE uses the proxy settings I
previously used for the ISDN connection, EVEN though I've unchecked
the proxy settings. Only happens in IE when I have a VPN connection.
Anyone have any ideas? I would greatly appreciate any help, as this
is really annoying that I have to switch to firefox when I have a VPN
connection. Seems to be IE related.
