When I try to open (with my desktop computer) MalWhere (from malwhere.com),
an app for checking my running processes, I get a microsoft error:

"MalWhere Process Identification has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"

When I run the identical app on my laptop computer, it runs with no problem.
If I open the app on the laptop hard drive from my desktop computer via my
home network, I still get the error. If I open it on the desktop hard drive
from my laptaop via the network, it runs normally.

What could be on my desktop (or missing from it) that is preventing this
particular app from opening? I went on MalWhere's newsgroup, but they could
not figure out the problem.

There is some process that is "blocking" MalWhere from running correctly. You
may need to remove and re-install it. If this re-install does not fix you
problem, run anti-spyware and anti-virus checks in order to clean out the
problem.
