|I modified boot.ini in XP Pro to use the /3GB switch as shown below:
|
| multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect
| multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional 3GB" /fastdetect /3GB
|
| This works fine on my PC at home but the PC at work refuses to start Windows. They are essentially the same
in terms of software, XP Pro has all the latest updates on both machines. The main difference between the
machines is that the PC where /3GB fails has an Intel motherboard. Are there hardware issues concerning the
use of /3GB?

| Any help is greatly appreciated.
