My daughter uses Office XP for Students and tEachers. The version of excel
within, apparently does not allow for 3d charting. The 3D option appears on
the pull down menu, but it is not selectable. Is this feature not available
on this version of excel?

the student and teacher version of Office 2003 is:

"Affordable, Full-Featured Software for Home and School
Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003 is not evaluation software. All the
programs are the same full-featured versions you use at home and school."



I looked around MS and other descriptions of the teacher and student
edition seems to be full-featured version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
Outlook.

I may have to call microsoft to find out what the problem is with this

I just noticed you said XP, not 2003. Microsoft has no pages I could find
for the XP version of Office for Teachers and Students, but the reviews on
the various resellers that still carry it seem to indicate that it also
consists of full featured versions of the Office applications.

Your version of Excel is full-featured; only the price and license are
different.

You've created a chart, and the "3D View" option is grey on the Chart menu.

You must first create a 3D chart type (e.g., a 3D Column chart type or a
Surface chart type) using the ChartWizard (or other methods).

After you create a 3D chart, you can use the "3D View" option to rotate the
chart.
