Yes, but you use different tools depending on version of PPT.

Hi Js,

No, no one has created a real 3D ball in a 2D media , but you can create
the appearance of one by using several overlaid shapes or a third party
tool.

What version of PowerPoint are you using? Knowing this will help use steer
you in the right direction.
