You may be right, I have seen some for around $135.00 that combine 10/100 LAN
cards with 56K modem cards. A couple I have found do not list Windows 2000 in
their list of OS so I would think I would run into the same problem.
Any one have any recommendations for type I-II pc card 56K modems that work
well (plug and play) under Windows 2000 or a combo card that has 10/100 LAN
and modem combined?

Trust me, NIC cards/modems are VERY cheap, go get new ones
comparable with w2k. or go back to win 98!
