I am a bit unclear as to: Does the standard Vista DVD install 64-bit? Does
one simply need a different Key? Or... Possibly vice versa.. Ordered from the
good people of Microsoft an added DVD..(64-bit)-but can I save time and be
impatient and download this software at some little known yet Genuine linK?

Hi,

The standard DVD is 32-bit. You have to request the 64-bit disk, except for
Ultimate (which has both disks in the box). Whether you install 32 or 64
bit, you use the same Product Key for the version you purchased. Outside of
MSDN subscriptions and a few other programs, it's not downloadable to the
general public.
