Microsoft Article 314494 recommends granting the everyone
group full access to the root of the drive. I still can't
believe it. Is this secure???

Good catch, and bad advise. (submitted for modification)
Further, seems in error is stating grant to Everyone has been
removed, which same has not existed in XP install defaults.
