Pretty funny story - although I do question the sensibility of letting a 3 year old access the PC/Internet by themselves!

Kids never cease to amaze me - but I'm wondering if its entirely true, or if the parents are just using it as an excuse to retract their bid

Hard to say though.
At three years old my daughter was reading encyclopedias & novels for entertainment.
She could've done something like that as easy as breathing.
But then, she'd also have understood the consequences of what she was doing as well & would've been unlikely do actually do it.
No, I'm not exaggerating.
