Sorry, I don't know, never used it. Try it, if Firefox really
freezes or crashes, you can always boot it in "safe mode" and
uninstall the extension again. More info at:

Well, I think it's simply more advanced for news reading,
including thread filtering/scoring, killfiling, ... Its interface
might be a bit awkward at first, but it's never been much of a
problem for me.
Mind you, I've never used TBird for newsgroups, that's exactly why
I included the "I think" earlier on...
