Q.1 Hello, can anyone recomend a decent free auto email response
service??....or is there a plugin available for thunderbird mail which
does this???

Q.2 Any body know if its possible to auto forward an rss feed by
email? by setting up message rules???...can it be done with
thunderbird mail?

Q.3 Does Thunderbird Mail allow you to post to multiple news groups
with a single message?....i am always comming up with IT questions and
want to post to multiple IT groups to get the best chance of finding
the info i need.

Hope some one out there can advise....thanks in advance

Cheers......A

The NewFilters extension by Frank Ausdilecce can do this, it's
listed somewhere on this page:

http://www.supportware.net/mozilla/

Before using it, MAKE SURE to read this thread at the mozillazine
forums:

http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=109276
&highlight=newfilters

It will give more info on how it works, since it doesn't follow
the standard TBird filtering interface.

Once again, it might be possible to get something working with the
NewFilters extension...

Sorry, I don't know, never used it. Try it, if Firefox really
freezes or crashes, you can always boot it in "safe mode" and
uninstall the extension again. More info at:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode_(Firefox)

> PS. what can xnews do that thunderbird cant?

Well, I think it's simply more advanced for news reading,
including thread filtering/scoring, killfiling, ... Its interface
might be a bit awkward at first, but it's never been much of a
problem for me.

Mind you, I've never used TBird for newsgroups, that's exactly why
I included the "I think" earlier on...

Regards,
Wald
