3 Icons I cannot remove from the desktop

I have a W2K8 R2 terminal server, users that have a roaming profile, and 3
icons I cannot get off of the desktop. The Control Panel icon, Libraries
icon, and an icon that looks like the profile. I cannot find a setting to
get rid of these but I dont want them on the desktop. I would also like to
disable libraries if at all possible.
