Possible Resolution:
Go to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 regwizc.dll , and hit enter.
Then go again to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 licdll.dll , and hit enter again.
Apparently, and I can't say how, the above files became unregistered.

news:(E-Mail Removed)...
| The only thing I can remember doing related to hardware is
| uninstalling the software for my Kodak camera.....
|
| No on boot, and periodically during normal operation, I get the
| reminder "3 days left for activation" due to major hardware change.
| When I click on the message to activate, the message bubble
| disappears, only to reappear later in the session or on reboot.
|
| Where do I turn off this reminder?
| or how do I "re-activate" in spite of not really having a qualifying
| event?
|
| Thanks.
