Dear All,
I have an HP media center. All was fine with it until today morning. (Not
under warranty anymore).
For some reason since this morning, it does not communicate to the monitor.
Computer seems to start but I can not see anything on the monitor, only I
hear 3 beeps and nothing else.
I reseated memory card but with or without memory card it is the same 3 beeps.

Can this be motherboard related? Or smeothing else.
I do not know what to do anymore.
I have conneced my PC monitor to my Laptop, and it works just fine. So the
probleme is not MOnitor.
Whet to do with these beeps.

Best Regards,

Nothing to do with Windows - try a hardware newsgroup.

It may be a memory problem, look up the beep codes on right side of page for your
BIOS here:

The three beeps indicate an error. Break out the manual you got with the
machine when you bought it, and look up the error codes for three beeps.

Thanks for information provided.
You were all correct, the problem was hardware.
Motherboard and CPU! Repair would cost more than buying a new unit.
I had to buy a new computer.
Now I have another issue:
My old internal hard drive is fine, and I need my data on it.
I tried to connect my older internal hard drive (300G SATA) using an
enclosure kit as an external driv.
It is recognized by the new computer but it requires formatting before
lettig me access to the drive. It says if you want to keep data you should
read your operation system.
I have had Windows media center on the previous computer and on this new one.
How can I have access to my older hard drive content?

Thanks aagain for any hints on this one,

Firouz
