I can't seem to get it to work. The Asus site says it needs IAA 2.2.2? What
the heck is that?

I have been holding back from changing my 2.8 out for the 3.06 HT
partly because of this supposed IAA install requirement. People have
stated in the past it slows their systems down. Happy letting the
2.8 cruise at 3.0 and up.

What exactly isn't happening with the 3.0 installed

Yes I have.

I have IAA 2.3 installed (newest). I am on another PC now.

Windows XP pro installed properly but the system acts wierd. I get CRC
errors on cabs on certain applications. It's strange. I haven't crashed or
anything, but I don't get the warm and fuzzies on stability.

I am not overclocking either. The MB detected it properly and it shows up
correctly in the BIOS, Windows XP shows it correctly too, and even shows 2
processors at 3.06.

Any ideas what it could be? The system was rock solid with a 2.0 in it.

There were issues with boards bought early in the year 2003 and ASUS
did a fix or 3 to the newer ones that came out. not sure on details.
You might want to check out this forum for lots of useful info and
help from the experts. Go into the Intel chipset section. If you
learn anything please pass it along here in newsgroup for us.

I have HT working on my 3.06 running on a P4T533 and I'm NOT using
IAA. I didn't do anyhing special, as I recall, except turning on HT in
the BIOS.

Did you build system and install op sys with the 3.06 installed or
upgrade at some point from a slower cpu to the 3.06?

The system was built with the 3.06, not upgraded from a slower
processor.
