I have tried contacting 2wire about this... that was useless. so T thought I
would try here.
I have the 2Wire 1000SW with the most current firmware updates. I can not
use my webcam with either Microsoft IM Yahoo IM or ICQ. the programs all
claim that it is a problem with my firewall. I have opened all the ports that
the programs say they need. I have even set the Firewall to DMZ (allow all
traffic). However, the programs still claim that the firewall is causing the
problem of not letting the webcam serve it's purpose. My Wife is temporarily
In Hong Kong on business. We thought these cameras would be a great way to
communicate. But... so far... NOT!

Please keep instructions simple, as I am just an old Streetmedik, not a
computer Guru.

Windows 2000 SP4
IE 6
Pentium 3 900Mhz (899 really but who's counting)
1Gig ram
400 Gig FREE hd space. (hay big drives were on sale they were on sale)
nVidia Gforce 5600 Graphics Card from Mad Dog running dual monitors
Soundblaster Live! 5.1 MP3
built in 10/100 base T NIC
