Does Windows 2000 require any special updates/patches in order to
support a video card with 2 VGA outputs? Specifically, we're trying to
use this card:

It is a *PCI* card (not AGP, and not PCI-xpress). It has a nVIDIA
GeForce4 MX440 chipset.

We are not having any luck installing this card in a group of Pentium4
HP workstations (running Windows 2000) that are about 3-4 years old.
FWIW, these machines came with a 16MB AGP card, which we removed prior
to installing the dual-VGA card. Here's the kicker...I installed this
card on the same *exact* model HP, only it was running XP. The dual
monitor support works great and the installation was painless, so I'm
really at a loss for what is going wrong.

The driver (from the manufacturer's CD) installs without any problems.
However, video is only output to one monitor. If I go to the
"Display->Settings" control panel, there is no indication of another
monitor being hooked up to the system (i.e. there is no Display dropdown
menu, nor any options for "extend my Windows desktop onto this
monitor.") I have tried the latest driver from the manufacturer's
website, but it had the same problem.

Unfortunately, we have about 20 Windows2000 machines so upgarding them
all to XP is not an ideal solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Never mind...Apparently there's an option the nvidia control panel that
needs to be selected. I wasn't looking for it there because it just set
it up automatically on XP.
