Hi all. Well, I have been racking my brain for the past
week and I still have no idea what to do.

The problem is my 2nd HD was working perfect one day then
about 4 hrs later WinXP refused to recognize the drive. I
used a program from Maxtor to scan the surface (it
passed), used chkdsk (no problems) and nothing seems to
work. I put in another drive and it recognizes that one,
but not this one with ALL my important files. Here is
what it says when I try to open the drive:

"D:\ is not accessible. The wrong diskette is in the
drive. Insert (Volume Serial Number: ) into drive D:\"

Does ANYONE have any ideas on what the hell is going on?

Paul, could you borrow a friends computer and slave your drive in it?
See if it works?
