2k to xp via 1394

is there any way possible to network xp and 2k via
firewire??? whenever i try, 2k asks for drivers:
_microsoft 1394 pc_ and _nic1394_, niether of which i can
find, or any information regarding them on microsoft's
website. please help if you can.
